Instrumentation Cable (Armoured / Unarmoured)
Shielded industrial instrumentation cables designed to eliminate signal noise, prevent cross-talk, and deliver precise data communication between field sensors and control systems.
Instrumentation Cable (Armoured / Unarmoured)
In industries where precision is everything, Plaza Instrumentation Cables are engineered to transmit even the most delicate low-voltage signals with accuracy and complete reliability. Designed with high-quality insulation and effective shielding, these cables protect sensitive data from external noise and interference - a critical requirement in environments where signals travel long distances between field instruments and control systems. From power generation and oil & gas facilities to chemical plants and advanced automation systems, Plaza Instrumentation Cables play a vital role in the accurate measurement, supervision, and control of complex industrial processes. With the rise of microprocessor-based and computerized instrumentation demanding ever-stricter electrical parameters, these cables are built to meet the most stringent quality standards - ensuring that every signal, no matter how low-level, arrives precisely and without compromise.
Specifications
| STANDARDS | BS EN 50288 (formerly BS 5308), EIL 6-52-46 and generally as per IS 1554-1, IS 7098-1, IEC 60502-1. |
|---|---|
| CONDUCTOR | Conductors are made from electrolytic grade copper conforming to IS:8130, and are solid/stranded circular. |
| INSULATION | PVC Insulated cables are specially made form high quality Polyvinyl chloride for insulation by extrusion process or XLPE Insulated cables are specially made from high grade cross-linked polyethylene for insulation by extrusion process. |
| INSULATION & OVERALL SCREEN | Al-Mylar Tape with Tinned Copper Drain Wire / ATC Braiding |
| CORE IDENTIFICATION | Pair or Triad identification can be done by numbered polyester tape applied over each pair / triad or by number printing on core of each pair / triad or by different color coding. |
| LAYING UP | In Instrumentation cables, pair / triad are laid-up as per the above color scheme, inter slices are filled wherever necessary to make the laid-up cores circular. |
| INNER SHEATH | Laid-up cores are bedded over with Extruded PVC / LSZH inner sheath. It is applied as a protection over the laid-up pairs / triads. |
| ARMOURING | Galvanized steel wire or strip are applied over inner sheath as a mechanical protection for cable. |
| OUTER SHEATH | Extruded sheath is provided depending on the application requirements such as temperature, fire resistance (FR), reduced smoke & acid gas emission (FR-LSH), Halogen free (LSZH / ZHFR). |
| TEST | As per BS EN 50288 (formerly BS 5308), EIL 6-52-46 and generally as per IS 1554-1, IS 7098-1, IEC 60502-1. |
